Captain Brad White explains USCG Rules and regulations

White said, “I was impressed with the quality of questions from the NY area directors. Their client families have been inquiring on how and where to do sea burials. Now the sea burial certified* directors can offer the service, earn on it and feel comfortable that a reputable, licensed and insured company like NEBAS works closely with the funeral director and client family together.”

Certification means that the funeral director has gained the general equivalency to be able to properly describe sea burial options with the basic understanding of EPA & USCG rules, laws & regulations with general good common sense.

MetFDA Director Bob Ruggerio said, “It is refreshing to have a progressive company like NEBAS train our group on best practices so our directors can offer high quality additional cremation options when families sometimes walk out of the funeral home without a plan. The full body sea burial and airplane scatterings as just what client families have been asking for and now we have a reputable source to share with our membership.”
